Health Star Ratings

As part of our global commitment to health and wellness and a long-standing history of providing our consumers with clear nutrition information to help inform choices, Arnott’s has confirmed we will begin progressively implementing the voluntary Health Star Rating (HSR) that was approved by the Federal Government in June 2014.

We are currently determining the best way to integrate the HSR with existing on-pack information across the entire Arnott’s range, but products displaying the HSR will start appearing on shelf in 2015.

Arnott’s will continue to provide Percentage Daily Intake (%DI) values in the nutrition information panel on the back of pack.

The %DI values are based on daily intakes, which are a set of government-approved reference values for acceptable intake of energy, protein, fat, saturated fat, carbohydrates, sugars, fibre and sodium. The %DI values show the amount (as a percentage) that one serve of a food contributes to your overall Daily Intake.
