Let’s #BakeTogether - Arnott’s Milk Coffee Tiramisu

At Arnott’s, we believe that sharing food – especially if it’s sweet and delicious – is one of the best ways to show others we care. So, this week we’re choosing to celebrate a particularly isolated International Day of Friendship by making a shareable dessert that’s from the heart. With an Italian namesake that directly translates to ‘pick-me-up’, Tiramisu is the perfect treat for a pal who’s in need of one. This irresistible version features whipped mascarpone cream in between layers of espresso-infused Milk Coffee biscuits. Buon appetito!


  • Prep time: 15 minutes

  • Chill time: overnight

  • Makes: 9 servings


  • 1 x 250g packet Arnott’s Milk Coffee biscuits 

  • ¾ cup (180ml) hot espresso coffee

  • ¼ cup (60ml) Tia Maria coffee liqueur

  • 2 tbsp caster sugar

  • 300ml thickened cream

  • 250g mascarpone

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder


Step 1

Place the sugar into the espresso and Tia Maria. Stir to dissolve and set aside. 

Step 2

Add the cream into a small bowl and beat with an electric mixer until soft peaks form. 

Step 3

Gently fold the mascarpone into the cream until combined and smooth. 

Step 4

Take 10 x Arnott’s Milk Coffee biscuits and soak each one in the coffee mixture for 30 seconds or until they start to soften. Cover the base of a shallow 20cm square dish with the softened biscuits. If necessary, halve the biscuits to fit the dish. 

Step 5

Top with a third of the cream mixture and dust with some of the cocoa. Repeat this process with remaining biscuits and cream, finishing with a layer of cream. Dust the top with cocoa.

Step 6

Refrigerate overnight. Slice into squares with a sharp knife and serve.

  • Add a splash of colour by splitting the creamy mixture evenly into 3 bowls. Add a few drops of food colouring to each bowl to tint in your desired shades. Layer as normal, using one colour at a time.

  • Say ‘Tira-Miss-You’ by smoothing the top of the tiramisu with a spatula and chill for 30 minutes. Print out your desired wording on heavy duty paper to create a DIY template and cut out the letters. Place the template over the tiramisu and gently sift cocoa over the top. Reveal your delicious message by lifting the template upwards so as not to spill the cocoa.
