Recipe for delicious Apple Slice, using Arnott's Farmbake Crunchy Oat & Fruit for the base.
Step 1 Pre-heat oven to 160⁰c. Grease and line base and sides of a 18cm x 26cm slice tin with baking paper, extending 2 cm above the edge of the pan.
Step 2 Chop 5 biscuits into 1 cm size pieces and set aside. Place remaining Arnott’s Farmbake Crunchy Oat & Fruit cookies in bowl of food processor and process to a fine crumb, add melted butter and pulse until combined.
Step 3 Press biscuit mixture into base of prepared tin. Spread apples over the biscuit base.
Step 4 In a medium bowl rub butter and flour together, add sugar and chopped biscuits, mix well. Add egg and mix. Spread the mixture over the apples. Bake for 20 -25 minutes or until golden.
Step 5 Serve room temperature and chilled dusted with icing sugar and cream.
